In the 2010-2011 academic year, our department was founded under the chairmanship of Assoc. Prof. Dr. Özlem Duva Kaya.

In 2013, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih Özgökman took over the position of head of the department.
Our department started its educational activities in the undergraduate program with 41 students in the 2020-2021 academic year.
In the same year, in the 2020-2021 academic year, our Philosophy Master's Program was opened within the School of Graduate Studies and started its educational activities with 5 Master's students.

By the end of the 2023-2024 academic year, the undergraduate program is expected to produce its first graduates.
